For our second meeting, Ben had some really interesting ideas down for some posters. The only issue was that his designs were for specific shows, whereas the brief is looking for a more general view on ballet. Regardless, it was the stylistic approach he took that interested me. He spoke about using gig posters as his frame of reference, this would work great as a means of reaching a more contemporary audience. With this I kind of saw our rolls fall in to place, Josh would be the designer and film maker, with ben curating the style of our work and making posters. Myself I see taking an animatory approach after making the animatic.
Speaking of which, we agreed that the ad idea might not be quite the right direction, and threw some new approaches out. This time, we have more of an emphasis on the text, and keep it focussed on the ballet. For this we made a survey, in order to grasp what the general consensus of ballet really is.
