Starting off with an eerily headless Rudolph (because Ive somehow misplaced the file with the head) I felt there was a comedy to the dance and janky animation. My only concern once finishing was that Rudolph may actually seem flat, placed in a scene that is viewed from an angle.
With that concern I made sure to create santa at an angle, something I felt would look better. I admittedly spent way too much time on the Rudolph, so gave santa a much easier to animate dance. It doesnt land quite as well as the other, but it'll do.....
Or so I thought until I put them in to after effects, I still hate the programme, Rudolph does look flat, and when placed on a separate image of a sleigh, the characters are clearly out of place and don't really have enough room in the frame.
I cant say this is unexpected, I felt like my rustiness with after effects would show, and that if I had planned better, the framing wouldnt be an issue. I'll have another tweak with it at another date, see if I can fix it up.
