We were tasked as a class to create an image that we consider to address a personal shortcoming. At first I didn't quite know how to approach this. All my mind focussed on were shortcomings that I was happy to leave un addressed. Aspects of my practice that I didn't work upon because of a lack of interest, an example could be shape based imagery, something that just doesn't catch my attention.
After a spot of mulling I realised there was something in my practice that I definitely wanted to improve, my scenes, and how they could be used to tell the viewer about a character. I had an image at first of including a building and vehicle, two other weaknesses to kill three birds with the one stone.
with that I decided upon this trash palace, with a little vehicle that could explain how it was constructed, and a power plant in the background which would be where the pieces where sourced.
