Just like the rest of the print process', I was severely out of practice with mono printing, but it wasn't too hard to get back in to it, just cut the shapes, ink up a plastic panel, put shapes on the plastic panel, run through press, and then you are left with an outcome. simple, then for the really interesting outcomes, just mess with re using shapes and inked panels, to get the really interesting stuff when making prints solely with the medium.
