Self initiated comic: world building

For this I really had to consider how the use of gold would effect the environment, something that would come accross as being visually interesting. I envisioned these large gold wisps floating over broken cities, with the land being worn down, broken buildings, messy environments. I want there to be a sort of sub text of the world being war torn, between humanity and the beasts, and being the reason humanity retreated to the wisps.

There was the question of how humanity gets from the wisps to the surface if necessary, for this I designed cars that have gold undersides, so that they could fly from location to location.
