I needed to find a means of creating scenery efficiently and accurately. Using point perspective within the Japan zine worked effectively, but results in everything lining up perfectly from following the grids. I don't want this, I want objects out of place, but to still have an accurate sense of depth. Time to weigh the options:
- Blender and Zbrush
Both being sculptural programs, they are more suited to making forms and figures, rather than building scenes. It would be possible to build environments, but it would probably be quicker to draw them with point perspective.

- Magica voxel
A really simple to use application, building imagery in blocks and featuring a surprisingly great lighting system for a free programme. Everything conforms to a grid system though, meaning the desired wonkiness within the scenes would be non existent.
- Sketch up
Brought to my attention by my tutor, Sketch up features intuitive system that is easy to work with, featuring a storage space of existing models (objects) to be used within scene. Not confined to ant grid system, and mostly works with shape and line work to create scenes. Clearly the best suited to my needs, but had the draw back of an awful lighting system.
