Collage poster

So, for this collage business, i had a lot of flyers left over from my visit to the fringe festival kept specifically for an occasion such as this. And with the flyers mostly advertising comedians, that meant i had a lot of faces to use, and thought i might as well put them to use. So started the task of cutting them all out, regardless of size, and sticking them down. I had an idea to make a big mass of faces to use for a backdrop to a social media advertising.

Having all the faces down, i just scanned them in and duplicated the cluster to take up a full A3 sheet. For the site i opted to call it hive mind, because thats what social media seems to be these days, a place for people to go to and think the same, regardless of wether or not they actually feel that way. But i'm getting political, its a Tuesday morning, way too early for that shyte.

I have a couple of issues with the outcome, i think i went a little far with the digital aspect, the dark orange overlay kinda detracts from the collage element, meaning you'd be forgiven for not thinking of it as a collage. Also on screen the colours seem fine, but printed they were different enough to make it difficult to differentiate between the different elements, and also made it quite hard to read the poster from a distance. I should have probably used paper cut for the text and shapes.
